So, we’ve just had Valentine’s Day. Hands up who got engaged at the weekend?
If so, CONGRATULATIONS!!
When planning a wedding, it is really important to make sure it’s done right. Go and see your suppliers, have a taste of the food, hear the band, and see examples of photos and wedding albums in their entirety, from start to finish.
It’s really easy for a photographer to get a friend to put on a wedding dress and take some stunning images in a relaxed, stress-free training environment, but while these pictures may turn out amazing, I believe it doesn’t reflect what the photographer is capable of on the day. Your photographer needs to think on his/her feet as there are so many variables which need to be considered. What if it’s raining? What if a family member has mobility problems and can’t walk too far? How much time do we have before the wedding meal? Do we need additional lighting? What if you’ve decided to get married at 4pm in December, and it’s dark? All these questions need to be answered instantly, and to ensure you have a set of images to be proud of.
If you have a look at my examples, each and every image you see is taken from a real wedding, and my albums and galleries show the day from start to finish, from bridal preparation to the evening reception.
If you’re looking to have a chat or see some real albums please get in touch, or I’ll be exhibiting at Wedding Fayres on the following dates:
Sunday 28 February 2016 – Friars Carse Country House Hotel, Auldgirth, Dumfries
Sunday 6 March 2016 – The Mill Forge, Kirkpatrick Fleming, Lockerbie
Sunday 13 March 2016 – Hetland Hall Hotel, Carrutherstown, Dumfries
Remember, it’s YOUR day, so I will always try to make it go as easy as possible for you.
